Basic cellular engineering

Although mainly used for their regenerative potential, it now appears that thanks to their secretion of trophic factors and their immunomodulatory potential, stem/stromal cells also seem to be an encouraging cellular source in therapy for treating inflammatory pathologies such as septic shock or graft-versus-host disease occurring after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. The objective of this axis is to develop a bioreactor production of cells of interest and to pool know-how to increase knowledge on cellular properties (secretion, immunomodulation, differentiation, aging…).
